Topic: Film RAMBO IV: HOLY WAR?!
By Charley on November 24, 2004 10:56 AM

There is a 33-page treatment available online for a version of "Rambo IV" that has fans dying for more one-man-army action.  In it, Rambo battles Islamic terrorists as an environmentalist working for the UN.  I'm not joking.

MovieHole got a hold of a press release regarding the online treatment:

RAMBO IV: HOLY WAR, Internet Fans urge Rambo IV to the Screen

Internet Fans of a film treatment of "Rambo IV: Holy War" are urging the film to the screen. The new Rambo film sees Rambo fighting Islamist terrorists in New York, with his Afghani-son the leader of the terrorist contingent.

A media production company based in London, United Kingdom has released the treatment for "Rambo IV: Holy War" on the Internet, causing fervour and controversy on film websites.

The treatment sees the iconic super-soldier first played by actor Sylvester Stallone in 1982's "First Blood" return to the screen as the matured sage; he's married, with an adopted son, influenced by Islamic Sufism and now working as an environmentalist at the United Nations. When the UN Assembly is hijacked by sadistic Islamist terrorists, Rambo tries to take the terrorists down, knowing that his Afghani-adopted son, Tomask, is part of the terrorist mission.

The treatment, available on alpha1media.com, has been released on to the Internet stimulating public opinion about the film. The treatment is highly topical, released at a time when US President George W. Bush was disagreeing with UN Secretary General Kofi Annan about the legality of the war, whilst Islamist terrorists cause havoc in Iraq.

Last seen in 1988's "Rambo III", the American icon was leaving war-ravaged Afghanistan after assisting the Mujahideen against the Soviets and events following 9/11 revived interest in the film franchise. The Rambo film saga has made $2 billion at the box-office since "First Blood", and on each occassion portrayed by Stallone, who is set to reprise the role at the age of 58.

33 pages of treatment is no slouch job, yet the details regarding the status of this particular "Rambo IV" story a nearly nonexistent.

More "Rambo IV" news when it happens.

Why not just make a sequel that's a return to the type of film that the original was?

Why not follow your own advice?

I hope it never gets made. The treatment is a bunch of ultra-liberal, anti-American progaganda. Rambo as an Islamic environmentalist? PLEASE!!! Rambo fans are no doubt, already rolling their eyes in disgust. Being a huge fan of the series, I find it hilariously weak that the writers of this treatment would have Rambo bouncing around from one religion to another. From Christian to Buddhist was plausable...but then from Buddhist to Islamic? Give me a fucking break. It sounds like Michael Moore wrote this treatment! Let Rambo die as a warrior, not a tree hugging, pansy and a propaganda tool for Europeans with anti-American agendas.

Hey, why the sudden European bashing? Anyway, I saw Rambo 3 the other day for the first time in quite a while and I kind of found the whole pro Afganistan/children with guns theme a bit uncomfortable in todays climate.

Why the European bashing? I'm sorry, perhaps you need to call your momma into the room and have her read my post again? I think I said the treatment was propanganda for anti-American Europeans with an agenda. Don't like that? Tough. Suck my dick. In fact, that's all Europeans do is bash America so shut the fuck up queer.

First are you some kind of hillbillie that fucks his sister?
That hasen't got anything to do with what I am going to say next just a suspision.

Anyway first Europe is a fucking huge place so labeling every country as one and saying all they do is bash America is stupid.  Britian Norway Hungrey these countries are all in Iraq remember twat face.
And to take it closer to the bone why is it that America needs Britian to hold its hand if it wants to win a war?
I mean lets be fair go back to 1770's and yeah you managed to beat the British (nice one it took your entire population against 10,000 troops)with French help of course.
Since then it has all gone to pot, D-DAy British made the quickest push, Africa in WWII yep British again. Lets see when you don't have Britian.... here comes Veitnam.
The only reason why you won the fucking first gulf war was because the SAS blew up all the air defence, your special forces being to shit to do anything more useful than basic weapons drill.
So fuck you, Europeans don't all bash America but we do when you keep spouting rubbish.

I mean lets be fair even Hollywood the greatest propaganda machine for the American people (The Patriot? Pearl Harbour?)
recognises the quality of the SAS the Rock a 70 year old SAS guy takes on an entire platoon of navy seals or marines or whatever crap they were.

Go Rambo he is awsome!
As for agendas well if you didn't notice arsehole the first Rambo was a critisim against the first Veitnam War how is that for a anti-American agenda loser boy.

Oh yeah and unlucky your economy is going to down the crapper.

And what kind of person has there email adress as hardbody are you some kind of cretin that couldn't come up with a good name or is it that your daddy picked it cos that's what happens to him when he looks at you.  No wait, I got it, you get/got bullied at school and you think that calling yourself hardbody on the interenet will make you tougher?
Your a fucking joke have you even seen the Rambo Films its just that your sauch a retard I bet you couldn't use a DVD player.

Its a good thing you don't have any impact on the production of films otherwise we would be watching "Revenge of the Wank Plank part 4"
by now.

Now go back to your trailer and shut up.

Yea, I also hate the way that alot of the Americans on this forum seem to make sweeping statments about 'Europeans' as if we're all one country with the same agenda. Saying that all Europeans are anti-American is like saying that all Africans are dieing of starvation.

Or that all Americans are Christian Fundamentalists.
