Runtime Error 62: Not enough data to access

Runtime error 62 is a common registry problem that can happen in most versions of Windows like 98, 2000, XP, Vista and even 7. It most cases, it occurs when dealing with multiple data files that are being copied or transferred over the network.

In its simplest form, runtime error 62 pops out when a program attempts to read through a data file, trying to access more than the value that is actually present in that file. Even when files are being processed over the network, such as from the server to a workstation, this error would most likely happen as well. When you will see the message "Input past end of file" while in the middle of an application program such as MS Office Applications, then that's an indication that you have come across runtime error 62.

Even programmers and developers will get to see this error when their program tries to read data from a corrupted data file, or simply if there's not enough data to be accessed.

Damages on the DLL file or registry entries, including missing, incomplete or corrupted data, can also lead to runtime error 62.
