Topic: Dtheatre.com Training obedience: Learn the key points to control your dog

By Joe-Willson on 2010-11-10 10:55:00

Training obedience to your dog

Training obedience to dogs is the most important part of rearing them. If you have not taken care of it from the beginning, your darling pet can turn it into a rowdy beast. Before your neighbors and friends stop visiting your place because of your unruly pet, devote some time into it and learn the do and don'ts of training obedience to your dog.

There is no such hard and fast timing for this training. Rather it's a 24x7 process, just like you do for your own child. The only difference is that once the dog learns the rules he or she hardly would defy them but for your kids, you really can't speculate whether they would listen to your advices in the future or not.

Training obedience to pets is thus comparatively an easier task than making a little monster listen to what you say. If properly trained, dogs do serve as the most reliable and dutiful friends in life. But it's true that you need to have patience to make the dogs understand your commands.

Training obedience to dogs might seem to be a very tiring process in the beginning but you need to keep patience if you want to take the pride of being the master of a well-trained dog.

Training your dog to teach it obedience: some basic points to remember

There are some basic points that you need to remember when you are going to train your pet.

  • How fast a dog would learn that depends on his pedigree to a large extent. Well-bred dogs are found to be smart and intelligent and the process of training obedience to them is much easier.
  • Your dog is not your slave. When you would be training obedience you should keep in mind that you are to teach him or her some manners only so that they become a darling dog to all. Any attempt to train dogs harshly is a crime.
  • Training your dog should be a consistent process. When you have started you should stick to the routine at any cost unless you do not get desired results.
