Ain't it Cool News has posted early reviews of some upcoming films, including "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardbrobe." The rough cut of the Disney flick tested very well, according to the reviewer, who said, "This movie more than captures the magic of Lewis' Narnia, and is destined to be a classic film." Too bad the same thing can't be said for "A Sound of Thunder" and "The Exorcism of Emily Rose." Update: New review added! It turns out I wasn't joking when I made that crack about the visual effects in "A Sound of Thunder." The reviewer said, "Every attempt to integrate the actors in anything remotely futuristic involves some of the worst green screen work on record." Told you. Update: AICN's Quint tears THUNDER a new one.
As for "Emily Rose," the reviewer said, "They've taken an interesting true story and turned it into a very special episode of 'Law And Order: Special Victims Unit.'" And, "Don't be fooled by the ads and the hype, this is just a courtroom drama with some horror elements."
There's a second review of "Thunder" further down the page that's a little nicer, but who wants to talk about that?
