It is not understood why they asked Janet to perform, being that she hasn't had a new song in awhile.  I think she took advanage of the situation and used it for publicity to "regain her fame!"  Cheap shot! (Although the men seemed to enjoy it).  Now, if J-Lo or Britney would have shown their tits, it would be better accepted by the viewing audience- I'll bet!

P.S.  It was shown so quickly that I don't think kids would have noticed if their parents didn't point it out to them- Not saying that it was right because it is a family-oriented show.
