Check the hubbub, bub. Mr. Moore and the Weinsteins have your attention. Will it be as swell as the buzz and the Palm d'Or? Will Moore fuck Bush? Let's take a look.
The trailer is now available from apple.com. Fahrenheit 9/11 will be released nationwide JUNE 25th.

The Daily Kos's Kosopedia project has the lowdown on the guy that has agreed to bail out Mike Wilson's movie 'Michael Moore Hates America'.
His name is Brian Cartmell and he's got some pretty... er... interesting views. Here are some of them:
On the seige of Fallujah: "In my opinion, if anything should be sacrificed, it should be the entire Middle East... [we are] condemning hundreds (if not future thousands) of our soldiers to death because Wall Street brokers and Suburban Soccer-Moms can't stomach the thought of dropping another atom bomb to bring this conflict to a swift and necessary close."
On the environment: "I’m a firm believer in consumption. The way I figure it, rampant consumption is the best answer to a rabid conservation movement whose agenda more and more reflects a greater concern for the survival and well-being of wildlife and plant species rather than for the survival and well-being of the human species."
On whales and dolphins: "I think the human species has already modified the eco-system so much that it doesn’t really matter anymore whether other animal species survive or collapse into mass extinction. And in my mind, that’s a good thing, because I’m not interested in my own survival on this rock being dependent upon the continuation of species which can’t even manage to avoid being trapped in a fishing net."
On gay rights: "Until the Homosexual population decides to accept and participate in the traditional, mainstream values and structures they currently flout, then there’s no rational argument that can be made for Homosexuals to require traditional, mainstream society to bestow its more sacrosanct rights and privileges upon them."
It goes without saying that Cartmell is a Bush donor - he gave Bush $2000 a few months back. And, his professional background is in Internet porn. (See the kosopedia article for refs for all of the above).
Isn't it nice that Mike Wilson has hitched his wagon to such a thoroughly charming character?

I went to Austin once and in the course of a five minute walk down a street to my hotel I saw a man preaching the word of God, two women fighting over a cat and someone with no shirt on rubbing an ice cream into his skin.

+"In my Opinion"..::mocking tone::...Let's see, to nuke them or not to nuke them, that is the question. Well let's think about this for a moment, if we did that, the cancer the atom bomb would cause would eventually make it to us, and therefore we'd have nuked ourselves. Do everyone a favor whoever out there thinks doing that is a good idea and wake up. Wake up, and get yourself some psychiatric help, in "My Opinion" It's people like you who turn out to be the world's next Harvey lee Oswalds.+

+Why worry about them becoming extinct? Global warming (caused by cold people like you "in my opinion" will wipe you as well as me and my descendants outeventually. Water will take over and soon those who you say can't manage to keep from being trapped in a fishing net will be swimming freely where your pitiful body is burried....hey...you might even be dug up the clams?...::smirk::...and have your bones nawed on by them.+

+You speak of homosexuals as if they are some kind of Aliens brought back from Mars with Lance Bass or something...::gags::..They are human...and frankly thats all that anyone should even think about. HUMAN...just like you. Personally I think people who talk about gay people the way you do are simply displaying a phobia, which help should be sought for immediately. Also, I think you are probably Gay yourself, perhaps a man is suckled to your genitals at this very moment my fingers are typing. Either way, I think Homosexuals are great, they've been through so much dealing with the biggotry that they are in general now...just..really good people.
