Bumpity Returns: The Documentary By Jack, (DT) December 2, 2005 1:52 PM PT |
|
From 1971 to 1985 (that's a longer run than Fat Albert), TV star Bumpity and his loveable friends Fred Worm, Digger Mole and Scotty MacThistle entertained thousands of children in the Pacific Northwest's KATU. After Bumpity and friends were retired, they were marooned in a suitcase for 15 years, until my good friend and fellow Portland indie filmmaker Crispin Rosenkranz created a nostalgic and somewhat bizarre 22-minute documentary about the talented Mr Griggs and his puppet colleagues. Go get some Bumpity love by borrowing the doc from the Multnomah County Library or visit the film’s official Web site, BumpityReturns.com. |
