Update Report: Friedkin's The Hunted By A random shemp, (DT) January 15, 2002 9:08 PM PT |

Explosions that lit up the night skies in North Portland and low-flying F-15's in the air above the city caused quite a scare for many Portland residents Tuesday evening around 7 p.m.
People were panicking and worried that our little town of Portland was under attack. But authorities are trying to reassure people that there was no cause for concern. Portland Police Bureau spokesman Brian Schmautz said the explosions were staged for a film crew shooting for the movie "The Hunted." I am working for "The Hunted," below are some of my experiences leading to today's events. We are currently rehearsing the "Kosovo Scene" which is preceding the "Delta Force Scene". There are approximately 30 extras and stunt men dressed as refugees which get shot at (by AK-47s and Russian made assault rifles), chased and assaulted by 20 some K.L.A (Kosovo Liberation Army) soldiers which is expected to shoot on the 30th and 31st. The set is one of the best sets I've seen in all my years working in the film industry. The current scene involves a whole lot of pyrotechnics and you can feel the heat from the set from a hundred some feet away. There's frequent visits from members of the Portland FBI who are monitoring the situation (security was also increased dramatically today). Turns out the F-15's were looking for a downed and missing small plane possibly a cessna. As far as schedule goes P.S: William Friedkin rocks!! |
