Centuries ago, The mightly Ninth Legion of the Roman Empire, led by Flavius Aquila, vanished without a trace. Along with them, the treasured golden Eagle emblem was also lost. 20 years later, Flavius's son Marcus decides to seek out to learn the real truth about it, while at the same time to restore his father's reputation. He took along with him his slave Esca, and together they ventured into the dangerous highlands of Scotland.
