NBC/Universal seems to be working hard to bump it's hipness up a notch during the TV off-season. It recently signed a deal with YouTube to "help" debut its upcoming fall season and just announced a new project that sounds interesting. "Lipshitz Saves the World" is described by writer, Dan Fogelman (wr. "Cars" and the upcoming "Joe Claus"), as "if Keanu Reeves wasn't good looking and 'The Matrix' was not a movie but a pilot for NBC." With "Lipshitz" and the buzz-friendly, Lost-with-superheroes "Heroes" on the schedule, NBC could finally be getting wise (again) to what makes decent television.
