Sure, every religion is in pursuit OF the Truth, but only Christianity can claim it was the other way around, God pursuing US! Buddha, Mohommed, Confucius, Malcom X, and every body else may have sincerely sought the truth, but being human, couldn't reach it.
Jesus was human, but He was something more, proven by His Ressurection!
Had Jesus not ressurrected, the disciples would have been peeing their pants up in the upper room until the Jews or the Romans killed them, and instead, Jesus showed up and POW, they start preaching everywhere!

Every religion may be in pursuit of the Truth, but only in Christianity, in the Universal Church that Jesus established,(meaning all Protestants and Catholics) did God reach down and reveal Himself fully and completely in the person of Christ.

--end---

The Jewish Church was the predecent of the Catholic, being that God revealed Himself to the Prophets, thus preparing the way, 'crying out in the desert', to show man that Jesus is his savior.
It is when God is born, around 5 BC, as man-- with historical, archealogical, and circumstancial evidence-- that man's sincere desire for the truth is answered.
