What happened when Jesus came?
When Jesus was Born:
The Angel said to Joseph
Fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew ch 1 v 20-21

The Angel said to Mary
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. Luke ch 1v 35

The Angels said to the Shepherds
Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Luke ch 1 v 10-11

What reception did He get?
Herod tried to kill Him
Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men. Matthew ch 2 v 16

The Nation of Israel rejected Him as their King
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. John ch1 v 10-12

His Life
He showed the love of God to man
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Acts ch10v 38
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Luke ch 4v18

His Death
He was rejected by the Jewish rulers. The common people cried,' Away with Him, crucify him.' The Roman power carried out the act of crucifiction. When men were shown to be at their worst, God used it to bring in salvation for all. When the sun was blotted out and it was dark for three hours Jesus was punished for the sin of the world.
Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Matthew ch 27v 45& 46 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree. 1Peter ch 2v24
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah ch 53v5
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah ch 53v6 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.John ch 1v29

He rose again from the dead!
On the first day of the week when the women went to the tomb they were told that Christ was alive. The punishment for sin had been paid in full and death could not hold him. He came out of the tomb leaving the grave clothes behind!
He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Matthew ch 28v6
But now is Christ risen from the dead 1Corinthians ch 15v20
Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon. Luke ch 24v34
When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said. John ch 2v22
And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. John 20v20
This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Acts ch 2v32

He ascended to heaven
Forty days after Jesus had met with His disciples He lead them to Bethany on the Mt. of Olives and after He had spoken to them he went up into the clouds to heaven. He is now there as a man waiting till the time comes to bring all those who belong to Him to be with Him there.
And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. Luke ch 24v51
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. John ch 3v13
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. Mark ch 16v19
I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. John ch 16v28
