In The Ring ( The Japaneese Version ) Samara was the real daughter of Anna. Samara was born with the ability to not sleep ( As you can see in the video, Samara watches the minutes tick away ) also the ability for telekenesis ( The ability to talk through the mind ) Samara had sent images to her parents through telekenesis.
Anna and her husband couldn't stand the images so they sent Samara to the main land for psyceatric help.
At the intstitution the docter holds up a picture of a horse. It seems like an X-Ray. She says she just thinks them up, and they're there. They couldn't get anything out of her, so they sent her home. She lived in the barn for a while. The horses were driven insane by her evilness, she invaded their minds. Her mother killed her. For revenge she burned images into a tape. ~ From Samara
