(EW) James Cameron, the creator of The Terminator movies, doesn't want to be back to direct Terminator 3. Cameron and his production company said that they were more interested in developing a sequel to True Lies, the 1994 movie that starred Terminator lead Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The rough draft script of T3 has already been written by Ted Serafian. Even though Cameron will not be directing the third installment of the popular movie series, Arnold's return to the film to reprise his title role in the sequel will hopefully make the trilogy feel complete. At least expect the one-liners to still work: "I'll be back."
The reported story of T3 would document the wars between humans and machines, and is slated for a 2002 release. Arnold is gonna be one old cyborg.

With or without Cameron, this flick is gonna suck. Few sequels can pull out a successful 3rd movie, and I don't think that this one will be one of those special few. Only time will tell though...I'll be waiting till this one comes out on video.

sad... it is hard to find a sequel which is awesome, but I found it in Terminator 2, which is indeed a true classic and has great rewatchable value. why JC allows Terminator 3? If he allows it, why not direct it? :(
