Sony To Make High Capacity CD

(ZD)Sony will be collaborating with Philips Electronics on making the media a standard.?The "double density" CD is designed to hold 1.3GB of information, and will be available in read only, write and re-write format.?What's significant about this is that the discs will be able to curb illegal copying practices.?Whether that is because of the size of the disc, or by some other convention I don't know, but it sounds interesting and I wonder if it will take off.
