Michael Crichton fans can download his new time-travel novel Timeline free for a limited time from Barnes and Noble. The novel, which normally retails for $24.25 in hardcover, is being released as an electronic book compatible with the Jordana 545 or other Pocket PC device.? Barnes and Noble said the novel is a perfect choice for an electronic book, since it tells a story about technology and computers used to transport people to another place and time.?The best-selling novel focuses on a group of anthropology students transported back to 14th-century France.?

Some additional information for our readers: The e-books are in microsoft reader format so if you don't have WinCE 3.0 you won't be able to view them. I haven't found any programs which will read the format besides MS Reader. Also to Download the book you must put in a MS office 2000 product key.
