Betty's older brother Kenny was just arrested for murder and eventually convicted to a life sentence in 1983. She believes his brother didn't commit the terrible crime, and think something has gone wrong in the case. From that time on, Betty, a wife and mother of two, decided to dedicate her life towards helping reverse his brother's conviction. To do this, she has to work her way by studying, and to get to law school. Because of her determination, she passed the board to become a full pledge lawyer.
