Charlie St. Cloud was having the time of his life, being won a recent sailboat competition with the help of his little brother Sam. He also has a college scholarship waiting for him, and all seems going towards the right path. Unfortunately, a terrible car accident took his little brother away, and he could barely take the pain. However, his brother Sam seems to appear before him every now and then, constantly reminding him of a promise he made for him. When Charlie's high school classmate Tess comes home, there was an unexpected change, he found love.
