Juvenile court records facts.
A juvenile record is criminal record of a person who is under legal age. Juvenile records search is usually not available to members of the general public as juvenile court records are usually sealed and can be even destroyed once the person reaches legal age. Juvenile criminal records can be available however to some government agencies and institutions.
If you were unlucky to have a criminal juvenile record on your name, you can be relaxed that people cannot find out about it. However if you apply for a job in a government agency or the military, you can be quite sure that they will find out about your criminal past.
How to clean your juvenile criminal record?
A juvenile criminal record can be expunged or cleaned. This usually doesn’t happen automatically after you get the legal age years. You will need to file a request for your juvenile criminal record to be cleaned.
Juvenile arrest records can be sealed or destroyed by the court. Anybody with such record can go to the local probation records and fill a set of documents. The good news is that usually no help of attorney is required. If the request is approved, all records regarding crimes committed as a juvenile will be either sealed or destroyed by the court. This include records of conviction, arrest records and any other court records.
