Robin Hood used to serve under King Richard while his army were up against the French. After Richard dies, Robin decides to move on and goes to Notthingham. There he discovers a town filled with helpless people, who are subject to crippling taxation and injustices at the hands of a sheriff. Among other things, he also falls for the beautiful widow Lady Marion, whose hands Robin is determined to win. As an expert archer, he bands himself a group of highly skilled and deadly mercenaries.
Together, they stand the rid the town of corruption and at the same time to steal from the upper class.
