Jennifer Lopez plays the role of Zoe, a woman so determined to plan her life down to the last detail that includes conceiving his own child. Years of dating doesn't seem to go anywhere, so she decides that she wants to become a mother, with or without the father. She plans and eventually get an appointment to go through the process of artificial insemination. However, life can be so crazy and cheating at times, and this happen when Zoe met by accident Stan on the day of her medical appointment. Stan turns out to be serious about her and she kept her pregnancy a secret for sometime.

With nine months ticking, she later reveals the truth, and together with Stan, they go through it together, in reverse fashion.
