PS3 does not read discs: what happened to the games
You have been playing one of those war hero games for hours and decided to switch to another game. You gave yourself a few seconds' rest, then inserted the new game disc. The disc logo comes out normally along with some text and pictures. But right after that, you get a message that says: "problem while starting...". Your PS3 Does Not Play Games anymore at this point.
So you decided to try it again by removing and disc and reinsering it. But this time, your ps3 can't seem to find the disc. The blue LED (which is an visual indicator that a disc is in the optical drive), is on, but nothing seems to appear on the screen. Where did the games go???

If all seems confusing at first, it's time to do some troubleshooting! The
closest culprit right now is a defective or malfunctioning laser lens which is inside your bluray drive. Check your dvds for scratches or dirt, and don't insert those with deep scratches because it's gonna do some nasty damages to your drive.
If PS3 does not read discs irregardless of which one you inserted, then it's time to clean up your lens. Get a good lens cleaner from the nearest store and follow the instructions carefully, or else you'll do more harm than good. If PS3 does not read despite the cleaning, then you have a defective laser lens at your hands. Replacing it will allow you to rid of problems concerning ps3 does not read games.
