Playstation 3 No display screen: that nasty video problem

PS3 gamers can have a frustrating moment when they have PS3 Red Screen in front of them. I should know, I have experienced that before!

The problem behind this playstation 3 no display screen lies in the video mode of the game console and the compatibility of it with the actual display device being used. While it is true that the PS3 can be played on both a tv screen wth a composite connection and on a HD-TV using HDMI connection, not being aware of this configuration within the PS3 console can really cause a lot of trouble.

PS3 off screen: setting the right video mode

In order to set the correct video mode, you can go to "System Settings"Playstation 3 - PS3 No Display Screen? menu, then select "Display Settings". From there you can change the display mode between HDMI and Composite mode.

Another problem is when you have previously set it to HDMI mode and used it on a HD-TV, and for some reasons you have to hook it on a TV with composite connection. This will surely result in PS3 off screen or no display on PS3.

This happens because of the incompatibility between the present video device that you want to use and the previous video device where you have hooked your PS3. What you can do is to hook the PS3 back to the HDMI device (if it's still there), and change the configuration before turning it off and reconnecting it to the composite TV.
