It's so uncool when your xbox overheated, but why does it happen?

Just when the game was started to heat up and you've almost beaten the bad guys, your game console suddenly hangs up, and red flashing lights start replacing the otherwise green ones. This is really bad time because your xbox overheat. bad xbox!!!

The main problem on the xbox overheating issue lies in the poor hardware design. Yup, you heard me, those creators of the famous game console decided to come up with a compact design while sacrificing performance and efficiency. It turns out that they have to make room for the DVD drive, thus making the cooling system smaller, with little room to breathe

Now that your xbox overheated, how do you cool this thing?

The very fist thing you want to do is stop playing and let it cool down. In the long run  Xbox overheated, you would want to place your xbox 360 to another place where the ventilation is much better, or where air circulation can better reach it.

Also, take away other gadgets or appliances that may be generating too much heat beside the xbox. Putting some more fan or cooling devices on your console can also do the trick.

Finally, if you're really serious and a bit tech savvy, you may want to consider upgrading the cooling system withing your xbox 360. Replacing the heatsink and x-clamps with bigger ones will certainly do more in preventing xbox overheated problems from happening again.
