Anona Fleece lives a miserable life. She has a husband who abuses and hurts her from time to time, and kids are disrespectful. she lives in a neighborhood with no friends to console with. All of these change when a Imogene Cochran moved in the community. Imogene sells Kathy K. Kosmetics to Anona, and a new friendship evolves into something more. When Anona's husband discovers her wife is having a lesbian affair with Imogene, they had a heated arguement, with Anona ending up accidentally killing him.
Anona takes the kids and their dead dad at the trunk of the Kathy K car, and droves off with Imogene on a road trip.
