This is a film inspired by the true story of the life of a murderer Mark Yavorsky, a man in San Diego who has a mental disorder. Directed by Werner Herzog, he successfully describes this movie as a horror film without the blood, chainsaws and gore, but still involves a strange, anonymous fear that anyone can discern. The main character named Brad was a stage actor who had been recently cast in the lead role of a tragic play production. He suffers from some form of mental illness, leading him up to the crime of stabbing and killing his mother with an antique saber.

Committing such crime, he was investigated and underwent court trials but unfortunately he was acquitted because of his deteriorating psychological condition.
