1428 got its title from the recorded time (military time) a powerful earthquake hit Sichuan Province in China. That day was May 12, 2008, with more than 68,000 people death. The earthquake itself was so massive in magnitude that it was felt thousands of miles away. This documentary film gave focused on the lives of the survivors after the deadly quake. With properties and everthing else destroyed, people struggled a lot searching and scavenging for food and shelter. The winter that followed only made thier lives more miserable.
With little support frmo the government, how did these people managed to rebuild their lives?
