This movie is about two childhood friends, Nour and Myriam, who are about to go towards different destinies. They are friends who live in the same house, in a community where Jews and Muslims live peacefully. They both unknowlingly share the same love for Khaled, but Nour was the one engaged to him. However, because Khaled does not have a job, their union was put on hold. In the meantime, the entry of the Germans to Tunis has changed a lot of things specially against the Jewish.

When Myriam's mother Tita went jobless due to German policies, she decides to let her daughter marry a rich doctor, much to Myriam's dismay and lose of hope for a love happy ending.
