Derek Thompson is the meanest hockey player on the field, and is more popularly known as "The Tooth Fairy" in minor league hockey, earning his nickname for his hard-charging habit of breaking a tooth out from opposing players. Quite ironic though, is the fact that Derek never believes in tooth fairies or fairy tales. Even to his own daughter, he discourages the idea. Found guilty for "killing" children's dreams,he was ordered to serve time as a real, wing-bearing tooth fairy.

What follows is a series of awkward events as he finally realizes the importance of helping kids believe and pursue their dreams... with or without the wing.
