The story begins as a continuation from the previous sequel. Emerging from the glass box and with Special Agent Strahm dead, Detective Mark Hoffman finds himself the successor to Jigsaw's legacy. With Strahm's body missing and hidden from the FBI, Hoffman thinks the secret is safe. Things went differently when a young teenager named Garett surfaces and is found to be the latest survivor of the Jigsaw games.
As the FBI were starting to figure out and closing in on Hoffman, and fearing that Garett might soon discover his secrets as well, he got no choice but to once again set the jigsaw game into motion.
