An inter-galactic animated comedy movie, Planet 51 tells about how American astronaut Captain Charles "Chuck" Baker discovers and lands on Planet 51. At first, he thinks he's the first person (or creature) from outer space to set foot on it. He was later surprised to find that the planet is inhabited by little green people who live in a white picket fence world reminiscent of a cheerfully innocent 1950s America.

It turns out these people fear nothing more than being invaded by aliens, like Chuck! Chuck must now navigate his way through the dazzling, but bewildering landscape of planet 51 before he becomes a permanent part of the Planet 51 Alien Invaders Space Museum!
