A movie directed by and starring Stanley Tucci about a couple which is trying to repair their broken marriage with a series of blind dates, every time pretending they don't know each other. They do this over and over again, playing a series of different roles, in an attempt to overcome the pain and rebuild their shattered relationship. Each date is different, they duel verbally (and not only verbally) every time, some dates are funny, some romantical.

Their daughter died in a tragic accident and now they are trying hard to reconcile, hiding their grief for each other. Since the child's death they've been unable to spend time together, and they can not be together, so they sort of meet on blind dates and role-play as strangers
