Set for a limited release this March, Big Man Japan will be nothing if not entertaining. Aparently Writer/Director/Star Hitoshi Matsumoto is a hot shot comedian in Japan, and early reports are that it's pretty damn funny. The punk Japanese music on the trailer kicks enough ass to cary the rest of the movie, I'm in.
The film follows the life of a middle-aged slacker. Occasionaly this poor bastard is shocked into giant proportions and made to defend Japan from invading monsters. Despite his best efforts, he often does more harm than good, and gets absolutely no love from the people he tries to protect.
