'Echelon Conspiracy' Teaser Fails to Tease

Lets start with the name, Echelon Conspiracy. Supposedly or maybe, the "Echelon" program started around the year 2000, with the intent of gathering private communication from a variety of sources inside the US and UK. Now that in and of itself could be enough for a movie, but nooooo. They had to throw in an omni-present smartphone, that mostly helps you gamble. It appears the whole "Echelon" thing is just a hook, meant to pull me into a SciFi Adventure about a damned phone.

There are a few bright spots in the cast, like Ving Rhames and Martin Sheen. The lead however, Shane West, will likely be out acted by the aformentioned smartphone. Looks stupid as hell.

Ya kno what, I'll bet, its part of a complex dis-information operation, meant to throw me off the scent of the real "Echelon" project. Baha! I've out smarted the federales once again!

Okay, soo.. Shane looks really good in this so I'm not sure why the writer has to critique him... And sure its not going to solve the *real* conspiracy... it's a movie... and it looks like a pretty entertaining action movie at that...

I think the movie looks pretty cool, so I don't get the hating... Ving Rhames and Martin Sheen, what's not to like? I'll go see this one.

haha! *hating*, that's a meme waiting to happen...

While the guy says that "The lead... Shane West, will likely be out acted by the aformentioned smartphone"... i don't see what that has to do with the film.

Consider all the horror, sci-fi, or action movies that cast an actor for looks above everything else... Vin Diesel couldn't convince a blind man that its nighttime, but he gets crazy roles in some decent action flicks (Pitch Black, Fast and Furious)...

So whatever this guy is rambling about, I bet its just because this movie isnt going to solve the problems of the world through some pretentious 3-hour drama starring Brad Pitt.

For the rest of us, I think this movie will be quite *fun* and Mr. West won't slow it down at all.

DoublePlus, you are taking things too seriously. Sounds like a fun movie. Ed Burns is hot! Shane West is cute. He is trying a little bit too hard, but he is adorable.

This movie looks like shit, but then again I didn't watch the trailer. I watched the trailer for that Mall Cop movie and that was so shit it projected its shittiness onto this completely unrelated movie.

i saw this ad a couple other places online and think people are analyzing it too much... looks like a fun movie, and if you say you won't see something cuz it looks stopid how come everyone goes to see transformers? ...this one's got guns, movie stars, and a hot girl, so thats enough for me

Why do people write super serious reviews on movies that were made just for fun? You are just jealous of Shane West. He is hot and successful. He dates beautiful girls while you stay at home alone!
