Since people continually throw their wallets and hard earned money at Hollywood for the Saw franchise, the executives that be have granted the wishes of gore fanatics with yet another addition of Saw.
Just when you thought Jigsaw's antics were over, Hollywood says "Nope! He's like Jason Vorhees, he can always come back somehow!"
