"Wall-E" and "Wanted" swept the box office this weekend, taking in a combined $113.6 million.
Disney/Pixar's latest masterpiece -- the futuristic story of a cute little robot responsible for cleaning up the mess humans left behind -- took the top spot with $62.5 million. That makes "Wall-E" the third-best opener for Disney/Pixar, just behind 2003's "Finding Nemo" and 2004's "The Incredibles."
The Angelina Jolie/James McAvoy starrer, "Wanted," came in second place this weekend with a very impressive $51.1 million.
Rounding out the top five were "Get Smart" ($20 million); "Kung Fu Panda" ($11.7 million); and "The Incredible Hulk" ($9.2 million).
The weekend was good for the box office in general, as profits went up 22 percent from the same weekend last year.
