Jackie Chan & Jet Li in The Forbidden Kingdom Trailer

A new Jet Li and Jackie Chan project is on the radar. The Forbidden Kingdom, based upon the 100 Chapter Chinese Novel "Journey to the West" by Wu Cheng En, this movie chronicles a portion of the legend of The Monkey King. There have been other attempts to bring this hero to the screen in a modern film, but they have sucked. This film features some odd choices as far as cast and crew. The director might be recognized by his masterpiece Stuart Little (sarcasm) and the writer claims fame from a box office flop known as Hidalgo. Thankfully this plot was already written for them and I have high hopes for the movie. Even if a goofy white guy plays the one who finds Monkey’s staff.
