A trailer for a new film called Dark Matter has appeared online. According to it's official synopsis, Dark Matter follows a Chinese science student in the United States in the early 1990s. Driven by ambition, yet unable to navigate academic politics, then, drama un-folds.

The story is at least loosely based on the true story of 28 year old Chinese physics student Gang Lu, who shot and killed five people at Iowa University in 1991 before turning the gun on himself.

Dark Matter stars Liu Ye, Meryl Streep and Aidan Quinn. This is director Chen Shi-zheng's film.
