Here's yet another Cloverfield trailer, this time the obligatory 30-second spot for TV. It's amazingly diappointing. I mean I know it's for national television and therefore has to be kind of tame and bland, but if I were watching boob tube and the following spot reared up, I'd be all "B-O-O-O-RING!" and change the channel and maybe catch the flick six months later off an auto-response Netflix recommendation or something.
I mean what is that shite? There's a soldier actually saying "Whatever it is, it's winning," and a hot chick saying, "I'm coming with you"!? THOSE are the best lines they could pull from this thing?
I was all excited for this one after seeing the five-minute pretty-interesting-for-a-huge-mainstream-flick clip that's been circling the 'net, but now I'm all worried this one's gonna be just another two-bit monster flick, but shot from the POV of characters' cell phone cameras to get some creativity points.
Anyone with me? Anyone not with me? Anyone want to allay my fears?

From all the spoilers that are hitting the next now, from people finally seeing advanced screenings, it seems that this movie is like "action packed on the edge of your seat excitement".
I have yet to read a spoiler, but I'm keeping it that way.

"It's huge! It's a lion!" THAT should be the tagline.
