Trailer: CG Flick Resident Evil: Degeneration

This trailer for Resident Evil: Degeneration looks like a cutscene from a video game, and why shouldn't it? Well, maybe because the cutscenes are often the most boring part of video games? Okay, sometimes they're good, but most game cutscenes are just a good chance to go grab a beer. Check out the teaser and decide for yourself whether this completely computer-generated Resident Evil movie is just a long, bad cutscene, or if it will make a good entry in the series.

If you're not going to bother making the animation better than any of the cutscenes in RE4 than what's the fucking point??

Gamers will just say "I think I'll just stick with the actual game" and none gamers will just say "I'm not going to pay to go watch a videogame"

What a complete waste of time.

not really. most people are so mad at the fact that the live action films sucked balls when thought to be parallel to the games story line. the only thing remotley close to the storyline in the film is the t-virus and zombies. i have seen the trailer and it looks like Final Fantasy: Advent Children  but replaced with the real storyline. it even has leon and claire as the protagonists. i think that this movie is gonna rock and stick to the Resident Evil Horror series like glue.

i totally think that this would make an excellent contribution to the series. first off.. this is a teaser not a cutscene. they have no dialogue or anything in it. i think that it might end up even better than the movies that have come out. i mean the animations are gonna be just like the video games. they can set up the same type of theme for this movie. its really good for resident evil fans like me.

The animation needs to be alot better than PS2 cutscene quality if they expect be to interested in this.

Plus, if the voicework is on par with the game cutscenes then this thing is going to make the live action versions look like Shakespeare.

i think if u  have a high definition tv and if u dont of course its going to look normal and it looks better than most games if u have proper hd tv it should look a lot better than normal tvs

I think it's gonna be great! It's finally a movie that is going WITH the story of the games and not a totally different way. I love the RE games, I read the books by Stephanie D. Perry and I'm really into this magnificant stoy. Just look at the timeline at www.biohaze.com. It's awesome how far the story goes back in time!! And I expect the film to be the story between Resident evil 4 and 5 that's set to be released in 2009 - which would be great in my eyes. And I - as a female - am also very happy about the choice they made about the main character. I mean - Leon Scott Kennedy - WOW!! Maybe the story of the two - Leon and Claire Redfield - goes on?! They meet again or so. Could be interesting what happened to Clair in those 7 years since the Raccoon City incident with that huge explosion (Resident Evil 2). Did she go on fighting Umbrella? Did she find her brother Chris? And maybe there'll be something about Ada wong and Leon... Has their love a chance to exist? ;-) Just kidding! But Ada is an interesting character and she's got a lot of secrets in RE2 and even more in RE4. So maybe we'll find out something about who she's working for (because it doesn't seem to be Wesker - he didn't get the Las Plagas from her but someone else did - so WHO?)...
I'm REALLY looking forward to that film! Because I didn't like the other ones...
