There are photos over at Yahoo Movies from the upcoming Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, which is simply being called AVPR in an attempt to avoid the whole "Is it AliEN or AliENS?" debacle that's bound to trip up anyone excited about this movie. Me? I can't imagine it will be worse than the first one.
Let's face it: AVP was a letdown if you were at all hopeful the franchise would be as awesome as the comic books and novels from whence the film (supposedly) came. Even if you were familiar with the characters from only watching the films, it was mostly not so good, right?
Based on trailers for the upcoming sequel, I'm going to guess it's at least more entertaining, if not altogether, you know, worth the price of admission. That said, the bar is significantly low enough that the cast and crew responsible for this film had better not make a worse movie or else their parents will probably expect them to quit the film industry, finish up their MBAs, and take over the family business.
Check out the photos here.
AVP: Requiem is due out on Dec. 25.
