Revamped KNIGHT RIDER Remake Happening?

After drunken urgings from former star David "the Hoff" Hasselhoff for a film adaptation never materialized, it seemed like a KR project was dead.  But no. Scared of new ideas, NBC has decided to mount a KR remake-redo for later this season. They've hired the dependable Doug Liman (dir. Go, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Bourne Identity) to make something.
