The kick ass Pulitzer Prize winning, Oprah adored book, The Road, written by Cormac McCarthy is getting the film treatment. Fingers crossed John Hillcoat (dir. The Proposition) doesn't fuck it up. Viggo Mortenson is "attached" and that worries us a little. That and the fact that it's being produced by Dimension. ?Total worriesville..

As I read this book I can think of no other person but Viggo Mortensen to play this part. it is written for him.
