Cuar?n's CHILDREN OF MEN: Best Sci-fi In Years?!

That's what some are saying. And they're right. This is a great film (beautiful inside and out). This is the kind of film Spielberg and Lucas can't get right. Dana Stevens of Slate.com writes, "...I'll go out on a limb and say this: Children of Men, Alfonso Cuar?n's dense, dark, and layered meditation on fertility, technology, immigration, war, love, and life itself may be the movie of the still-young millennium."

i saw it a month back with clive and alfonso there afterwards - and i dunno - it looks cool sure - and its hits on some of those issues above - yeah - but why does that make it great? It doesn't really make much sense, and it doesn't really go anywhere with it? Just confuses me how overhyped this flick is becoming? Blade Runner it's not...
