In an article about the growing success of the geek crossover (attracting more than just geeks) series, work on a BSG prequel series is mentioned as being in development and poised to debut sometime next year. ?The series will be called "Caprica" and will take place sometime before the attacks depicted in the current series. BSG's creators David Eick and Ronald D. Moore brought the prequel idea to Sci-Fi network who was had at "hello."
