To: wind up bird and your comment, the only "B*#ch" is you. The men that fought in WW 2 were a strong generation we may never see again in the US. My father is a WW 2 vet. He was at Iwa Jima and Sipan, and Pearl Harbor. Don't mix heros with goverment media p.r.

First of all, hats off to your father for his courage and service in the finest fighting force America has to offer. Second, please keep up with your history, it was the Marine Corps fighting against the Japs in the Pacific not the Army.(I know someone already said that but I couldn't resist) Third, the Army never promotes killing, their main line is job training and money for college. The Marines are all about the death and destruction. They are the ones doing all the killing.

It is a poorly timed movie. It will get plenty of other slams like this. But I'm a historian. The movie looks to be a beautiful timepiece. Iraq can be compared to Vietnam, but it's no WWII. WWII was a retaliation of Pearl Harbor. And Europe asked for our assistance as far as our history books say. There is no dignity in Iraq. None whatsoever.

The book is way better. As to the war in Iraq not being comparable to WWII, that is a lie. We are over there to free people from terroristic dictators. The terror is not coming from us. The media and liberals want to turn a blind eye to everything that the Sadaam and Islamic Terrorists do.
