Conan O'Brien did a swell job of moving the long program along smoothly. ?In what looked like an audition for hosting the Oscars, O'Brien filmed an opening scene and sang an opening song, both were funny. ?Jeremy Piven (Entourage), Tony Shalhoub (Monk), Kiefer Sutherland (24), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (...Old Christine), Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order) all won awards for their roles in their shows and The Office (NBC) and 24 (Fox) won for best comedy and drama series.
