Turns out the last rumor we posted here was the real deal. ?Today, Warner Bros announced that the Dark Knight will be the title of the 2nd, re-envisioned batflick from ass kick director Chris Nolan. ?Nolan, his brother Jonathan, and David Goyer will be responsible for the story and script, and Bale, of course, is returning (as is Michael Caine). ?Oh yeah, and the Joker is indeed...

Hey, I'm no comic book geek, but I have a thing for Batman movies and "The Dark Knight" sounds like a kicka** title. Heath Ledger as the Joker is questionable but, hey, it could have been worse. Ledger can do an okay job if he breaks out of his shell (The Joker isn't a gay cowboy). The movie, from this far off view point, looks great. It's going to be awsome to have a new Joker and a new Batman kicking each others a**es. I mean the last time we saw that on the bring screen was, what...1989?

Yeah, it always have been worse like Leonardo wanting to be Anakin Skywalker but fact is that they always can take an actor who really can act and who perhaps looks the part or doesn't have to be well known.
Heath Ledger looks like a moron. I wouldn't want to see him as the Joker.

see i think thats what could be interesting, if he has the chops to pull it off, because it is such a stretch it could surprise us all, think Brad pitt in 12 monkeys, prior to that movie, noone would have guessed the pretty boys versatility.

I never pictured Bale as Batman, but he did an excellent job. Ledger has the face, look at the picture above, unless it was doctored, put some white makeup on him and you have the joker. Unless you look at the joker art in the Killing Joke, then he needs alot longer chin. Ledger has amazed me in alot that he has done and is quite versatile, I think he can pull it off.

heath legerd ? cumon the joker shud be skinny and withered and wildly sinister looking, cumon ledger is bulky and described as a hunk by women, how can a hunk play the joker ?!?!?!? nolan i hope you know what your doing, and please make him scarred and gastly looking because that neat looking face that nicholson had was just so unrealistic

Joker is a 'hunk' to any woman who has a mind like Harley's. Anyways, I have some faith in ledger. They have a good make-up crew and I think they can pull it off. I just hope his accent doesn't come out.

Ledger is a very versatile actor and one of the best performers in showbiz. Any role he has taken on, he always came through. I wish everyone wouldn't dicredit him becuase of his role in Brokeback Mountain. It was one character, one movie. I look forward to seeing the new Joker. New and fresh without beng bias or comparing it to too much.

JAck was a good joker for the tim burton version of batman. but those batmans weren't the real batman movies. I think Nolan has made the best batman movie yet. and hopes he continues doing a Batman series. He is an amazing Director and always knows what he wants and what hes doing. This batman with all the characters will be amazing just as Batman Begins
