Decent Movie

The first time I saw the movie, I was very much into it. I have a fascination with the whole undead theme, and the fast, twitchy zomies did it for me. And those shots of london with the streets barren really helped suspend my disbelief.
I watched it a few more times after that, and I found a lot of things that I didn't like with the plot. A military base that can't establish a comlink with the rest of the uninfected world? puh-leeze. I know the ridiculous plot devices made for some good "ooh teh zombees", but it was a foul taste in an otherwise scrumptious meal.
Is it really that hard to write a somewhat believable script? Michael Chricton just took a pile of cash while someone else wrote screenplays based on his books and those turned out okay.
Not nearly as bad as blair witch though. I wanted to slap all those bitchy kids for being so f-ing stupid, and I depserately hoped for a tempermental badger to eat them long before the witch ever did.
Still, I'm hopeful for this sequel!
