STARBLAZERS Live Action Flick Back On?!

The Hollywoodreporter is saying that Starblazers, the cool anime series from the 1980's wherein the bad guy was a drag queen of sorts (almost), may be given the live-action treatment if a script gets greelighted. It's been batted around the studio lots since the early nineties and now might have found some new life in Benderspink, a company responsible for American Beauty among other, less decent flicks. Could be fun.

Dig a Starblazers script review from 2003, when the script was still in development with another company.

If you are gonna make a movie out of this anime please keep to the story somewhat.  The ship was called Argo in America and Yamato in Japan.  Let's not muck up a perfectly good story.  "If ain't broke don't fix it."
